Through looking at other names and gaining ideas, I have finalised my name and started to experiment with changing the colours, to get the best match.
I have used the same layout and positioning for my text but used some san serif and serif fonts. The black text on a white background works best as the red can seem a little overpowering; therefore it will look slightly tacky overall.
The black 'Manchester' and maroon 'News' works best as it stands out but it doesn't seem tacky. I have used a serif font and it creates an old effect, which is more likely to be more knowledgeable and trustworthy with the information it gives.
