Poster Research
These are some examples of adverts used to advertise current newspapers. They appear to be very colourful but not too overpowering. The main aspects of the advert are very bright and stand out, for example 'the sun' stands out from the rest; this one is a good example as the price is also included. The use of 'All for just 30p' works well with the reader as it makes it seem like they're getting a lot of news, for little money. The Guardian adverts tend to be constantly going against each other, especially with the ‘fact, opinion, fact, opinion’ piece. All adverts use simple backgrounds so that they’re not too dominating within the poster. I myself, think that the advert should include an image to make it seem more personal to the viewer, then maybe it would boost the sales if they can relate to it.
