Evaluation Question 4

4- How did you use new media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages? 

The internet was one of my main ways which I collected different information and ideas, in order for me to plan my own product. Using the internet is so easy as it allowed me to collect a large amount of information, very quickly I also looked through current newspapers such as; Wigan Observer, Leigh reporter and The Metro. From doing this I could see what adverts they were using and look at the positioning and layout, along with the colour scheme.

Other than the planning stages of my product. I also used NMT through the images which I needed, to get the best images I used the best camera available to me which was a Digital SLR. However, I didn't use a studio for my images as I chose to take them outdoors so I had natural light as it's the best setting for a good photo.

 

 Another example of NMT that I used within my work was collecting audience feedback from the social networking site, Facebook. I uploaded an image of my product and asked people to comment and give me feedback. This can also be used in the evaluation process as it helps me to understand my product in more detail and see it from a different point of view.
Overall, the use of NMT within my coursework was important and it would have taken a lot longer otherwise, below I have used an online flowchart creater to show the examples of NMT which I used and what they were used for.
