Evaluation Question 2

2) How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary texts?

It's important to use similar fonts and layouts within your products so they can clearly be recognised that they all belong together and are produced by the same brand. This is also important for new companies so they're spoken about and recognised by the people who will be buying their products.

I chose to use the same font on both headlines of my newspaper so they stood out to the audience and if the product was created in a realistic situation, it would follow the same procedure throughout the newspaper. I also used the title of my newspaper on my advertisement so that it would make it more recognisable. The slogan 'keeping you informed' is used on both of these and also plays a big part within the radio advert. I chose to have the slogan on the radio near the end so it's something that the audience would remember. I included the price 'only 30p' within the paper, advert and radio advert to make it clear to the target audience. This was the USP for my product, that it was a lot of information, for a small price.

I decided to stick with the same colour scheme throughout, making the dominant colours: -Black, White and Red/Maroon .This will also enable people to relate to both products if it were used in realistic situations.
